The Scottish Technology Risk Assurance practice of this Big 4 Consultancy firm currently seek Consultants to join their successful and growing team and be part of the exciting road ahead.

With the option to be based out of their Glasgow or Edinburgh offices, this is an excellent time to join the team as their clients deal with evolvement of the digital age, new emerging technology (e.g. process automation, AI) operational resilience and business transformation risk.

You will take a key role in delivering across a broad spectrum of these IT Risk engagements, working with the team and their clients to bring technical experience combined with consultancy skills to enable insightful and value-adding conversations. The team offer a wide range of services including IT risk assessment, IT internal audit, third party assurance, IT advisory, IT strategy operations and project assurance reviews.

The role will include the following:

  • Being part of a team that performs services including IT risk reviews, programme/project assurance, third party assurance, IT operational, security and data reviews.
  • Junior managing fieldwork for engagements and supporting more senior team members in more specialist areas
  • Building client relationships through engagement delivery, identifying opportunities to help clients resolve their challenges, and supporting the engagement sales process
  • Exposure to current thinking in technology governance and risk management

You will be University degree educated with relevant experience gained in a commercial environment. You will have a passion for technology and projects and possess strong analytical, project management skills and developed stakeholder / client engagement skills. You will have the ability to assess IT risk and suggest pragmatic risk mitigation activities for clients as well as identifying and effectively reporting any issues and recommendations for improvement.  Audit experience, including evaluating controls over financial and/or operational processes is desirable as is any relevant systems assurance (CISA, CRISC, CISM), project management (Prince2, Agile, Scrum), architectural (e.g. TOGAF), IT Service Management certification (e.g. ITIL, COBIT).
