Lusona’s client, a highly-respected firm of Chartered Accountants and Advisors, are looking for an ambitious Corporate Tax Advisor to join their friendly team in Edinburgh. This role would suit an individual looking to develop their corporate tax career.

As Tax Advisor, you will manage an extremely diverse portfolio of corporate tax clients, dealing predominately with compliance matters. Clients include large SME’s, Directors, Partnerships and families across property, healthcare, agriculture, professional services and technology enterprises. You will also prepare a small number of personal tax returns and gain the opportunity to progress towards more review and advisory work.

Responsibilities include

  • Preparing corporate tax returns for an interesting portfolio of companies and groups
  • Providing general advice on client queries
  • Preparing P11d’s
  • Working to set tax deadlines, ensuring a high standard of work at all times
  • Effective time and process management
  • Supporting with advisory projects and business development activities, as directed by the Partners
  • Building and maintaining effective client relationships
  • Maintaining and developing your tax technical abilities and knowledge

You will have experience of working in the tax function of a professional services firm. ATT qualification is desireable, but not essential. Our client can consider those with good corporate tax experience with the willingness to take on some personal tax work. Practical experience of Microsoft Office and tax software is preferred (e.g. Alphatax, CCH). You will have strong communication and inter-personal skills and the ability to effectively plan and manage workload to timescales.
