Lusona are working with a well-established engineering business who specialise in the manufacture of material handling systems. Due to significant growth, and a strong order book they have created a new role for a Stores Person to join their Supply Chain Team.

The Supply Chain Team is a critical part of our clients business and the stores activity is at the heart of that. The Stores Person will have responsibility for;

  • Booking in of all deliveries into the systems
  • Transfer and location all materials into Stores
  • Stock Control
  • Kitting of materials for production
  • Preparing paperwork and packaging of all outbound orders
  • Problem solving of any issues
  • Chasing Suppliers for deliveries or missing paperwork
  • Ensuring the Stores area is kept clean and tidy
  • Adhering to all H&S requirements

Experience and knowledge required for the role:

  • Previous experience of working in a similar Stores role within an Engineering or Manufacturing organisation
  • Experience of using stock management systems and processing of delivery and despatch paperwork
  • Strong communication skills and comfortable with liaising with Colleagues and Suppliers by phone, email or face to face
  • Counterbalance and Reach Forklift Licences
  • A problem solver who also seeks the solution
  • A team player, who is helpful and has a positive outlook
  • Quality and safety conscious, with a positive attitude to continuous improvement
  • Flexible about duties and working overtime when required
