Technical Software Solutions Director required for the UK & Ireland region of this global digital industrial company in the Energy sector

Our client is transforming industry with software-defined machines and solutions that are connected, responsive and predictive.  They are market leader and have created this new role to work closer with their existing customers

This role is all about proactively working with customers to grow sales in the Transmission and Distribution domain in the UK & Ireland market. You will in turn grow the business and customer relations and transform this into an order pipeline for software solutions products and professional services to end user customers.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and supporting account management teams
  • Working towards your sales quota within your territory
  • Develop new market and customer opportunities / campaigns within existing key accounts and potentially new customers and segments
  • Build and sustain customer relationships
  • Developing value-add solutions
  • Matrix with existing function and P&L teams’ to achieve growth objectives and resolve customer issues
  • Collaborate with products management, marketing and other commercial teams’
  • Assisting with go-to-market strategy and campaigns for new software products
  • Supporting negotiations of contracts and closing deals

Coming from the Energy / Utilities sector you will extensive consultative and software sales experience, particularly in the transmission and distribution market. Applications are also welcome from Solution Architects who can demonstrate the necessary breadth of experience and business acumen.  You will be customer orientated with a growth mindset and can demonstrate the ability to generate immediate credibility with clients and to promote win-win strategies. 

Salary £negotiable + Bonus + Group Benefits.  Applicants can be based anywhere in the UK, with the ability and willingness to travel to client and business sites when required.
