A varied and rewarding opportunity for a Software Project Engineer to join a Global IoT company committed to the transformation of digital industry. This is an exciting time to become involved with a talented, multi-disciplinary team responsible for the configuration and integration of the Organisation's innovative software solutions to customer sites across the globe.

Based in West Lothian, the project engineers are involved in a wide range of technical projects; and working to multiple deadlines on multi-year installation projects, as well as regular upgrades and reactive remediation projects both in the UK and overseas. Tasks may include:

  • Hardware and network installation;
  • Cyber security;
  • Data transformation;
  • Automation;
  • Scripting;
  • Interface integration;
  • Configuration;
  • Testing; and
  • Training.

Due to the varied nature of the projects, applications are welcome from a range of experienced IT professionals and on-site training is offered to all new starts. Ideally you will come from a Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering background with a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in Software services/support. You must have experience in both Linux operating systems and databases (preferably Oracle). Preferably, you will also have experience/knowledge of one or more of the following:

  • Linux server administration
  • Windows server administration
  • Programming languages (C++/C#/Java)
  • Scripting languages (Python, perl, shell, .vb)
  • Network design
  • Cyber Security
  • Web Services
  • SOA technologies
  • Kubernetes
