Our client, is a FTSE 100 Financial Services company in Edinburgh.  Their Group Finance function currently require two Senior Managers for their Product Control team in Edinburgh. This is part of a process to migrate Product Control reporting functionality to Edinburgh.

You will be responsible for overseeing the P&L production for a variety of trading desks which includes a portfolio that consists of Rates, FX, XVA and Credit products. You'll be comfortable working in a dynamic & changing environment and have a proven track record delivering solutions to urgent ad-hoc queries and requests from partners. You'll also be responsive to the daily needs of the Business and other partners such as the Regulators. 

Key accountabilities: 

  • Management of a Product Control team. Provide control and oversight over daily P&L production and the balance sheet including the daily capture of market data. 
  • Analyzing the market/business environment to generate commentary/MI. 
    Leading product control and oversight related projects providing strategic recommendations. 
  • Resolving urgent ad hoc queries and requests from partners including the Business and Regulators 
  • Engaging with senior partners to influence and challenge key business decisions and support successful development and delivery of business objectives. 
  • Establishing relationships with on shore management and partner the front office and other support partners. 


  • 5+ years of experience in a product control and or a valuations role supporting a trading business. 
  • Cross asset financial and product knowledge gained within Financial Services - banking, asset management, hedge fund. 
  • Excellent written and verbal social skills 
  • Strong Analytical skills 
  • A ‘hands on’ approach to start
  • Experience building and developing a high performing team. 
  • Qualified Accountant
