A newly-created varied and interesting role has arisen for a Senior Financial Analyst to join this Glasgow based plc. Joining the team focused on capital planning and management, this is a unique value-add opportunity to become involved with a critical strategic area of the business.

The capital optimisation team deliver monthly reporting on the group’s capital position, as well as preparing forward-looking forecasts and stress testing activities for regulatory submission (e.g. ICAAP, Recovery Plan, etc.) The Senior Finance Analyst will be enlisted to work on a project basis in a highly reactive and changeable reporting role, with genuine potential for career progression.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting with detailed analysis and reporting for key regulatory submissions
  • Preparing information for reporting to specific monthly management and governance forum groups
  • Liaising with stakeholders across the business, providing guidance on capital related issues
  • Preparing monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting and plans for key business areas
  • Building your knowledge of the capital reporting and forecasting process, supporting with new developments and enhancements
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of MI, processes and outputs
  • Acting as a key point of operational guidance and support for other team members across the enterprise

You will be a qualified Accountant (CA/ACCA/CIMA) or finalist with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in either audit, accounts production or financial reporting/analysis. Experience of regulatory or financial reporting within financial services would be advantageous. You will be a highly-motivated self-starter with demonstrable analytical skills and the ability to thrive in a reactive, changeable environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills, specifically in relation to explaining policy requirements, are essential.
