An experienced Senior Business Continuity Analyst required for the Business Risk team of this respected financial services business in Edinburgh. This opportunity would suit a highly-motivated individual with strong attention to detail and significant demonstrable experience within business continuity and recovery management.

The wider business risk team are responsible for maintaining a robust risk management framework and focuses on maintaining key controls in order to avoid, prevent or mitigate serious issues. Their wide remit covers emerging risk, data governance, cyber security, business continuity, operational risk and incident management. As Senior Analyst, you will be solely responsible for developing and delivering the firm’s business continuity framework, overseeing business continuity plans and acting as subject matter expert for the team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Development of firm-wide business continuity plans, maintaining and updating plans in light of business or personnel changes
  • Monitoring departmental business continuity plans - including business impact analysis – liaising with senior stakeholders, leading ongoing reviews and challenging when required
  • Supporting with the delivery of business continuity exercises and training, ensure arising actions are tracked and implemented
  • Reviewing data provided from vendors regarding their business continuity arrangements, ensuring relevant points are actioned and escalated where necessary, or incorporated into the firm’s own plans
  • Acting as Secretary to the Recovering Planning committee, preparing comprehensive reports for members and presenting to the committee as required
  • Responding to client and regulatory due diligence questionnaires

You must be a highly experienced and detail-driven Analyst with relevant experience in within a business continuity role. You will demonstrate a proven record of delivery and possess the ability to work effectively under pressure; remaining calm in times of stress or crisis. You will have exceptional report writing skills and thrive working within a professional team environment, gaining commitment and trust from senior stakeholders. Previous experience within a risk or compliance related role within Financial Services would be highly advantageous.
