Two roles currently exist within the Restructuring team at this international law firm, based in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
The Partners are keen to hear from Solicitors at NQ level or with up to 2 years of relevant post-qualified experience.
This highly rated Restructuring team is part of the Banking and Finance group, and provides advice to financial institutions, turnaround and insolvency practitioners, company directors, shareholders and other stakeholders. They also investigate causes of company failure and pursue claims against those responsible. They act for all major clearing banks as well as a wide variety of other lenders.
The team is increasingly becoming involved in complex, high value restructurings at an early stage in the financial decline curve, with the aim of providing innovative solutions which improve returns to stakeholders and, in many cases, avoid an insolvency process altogether. They are also building an increasing reputation for the contentious practice too, having been instructed on a number of high profile assignments. Members of the team are recognised specialists for dealing with assignments in the professional practices, charity and construction sectors and have worked on a number of high profile engagements.
The successful candidate will ideally have gained experience in a large regional commercial practice or City firm and will have broad financial restructuring experience (with an emphasis on transactional and advisory experience). Commercial experience in other areas including corporate, baking or insolvency would also be considered.
