Reporting Manager sought for the tax department of this Glasgow based corporate. This is a newly created role and is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with management experience who is keen to work in a challenging but rewarding commercial environment. You will have full responsibility for reviewing the analysis and calculations completed by the tax preparation team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Being fully responsible for reviewing the analysis and calculations completed by the tax preparation team.
  • Understanding the full tax compliance process at US Domestic, State and Local level.
  • Collaborating with the wider tax technology team, your team will be responsible for doing all testing on the tax processes.
  • Supporting on status reporting and metrics
  • Managing the daily responsibilities of IT Processes and performing system testing accordingly.
  • Communicating any revisions to tax policies and procedures with key stakeholders within the business.
  • Managing the resources and activities of the team, as well as managing and developing staff e.g. completing 1-1 reviews with team members
  • Working overall to a timely and process driven manner to meet required standards

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant and have a minimum of 3 years management experience. Tax experience is preferable, but not essential. A liquidity, reporting or professional practice background would also be useful and considered. It is beneficial but not essential that you understand how to do a US tax return, however, training will be provided. Most importantly, you will have excellent communication skills and experience in delivering across a wide range of people, including external and international parties.
