Lusona’s client, a Glasgow-based Global Corporate, are looking for an ambitious Reporting Manager to join their Compensation control team.

Reporting to senior management, the close-knit reporting team are responsible for the processing and accounting for a wide range of complex compensation arrangements across the globe. As such, you must be a highly technical and analytical individual with the ability to manage very high volumes of data and maintain successful business relationships with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly reporting on compensation and benefits for EMEA, Asia and Japan including variance analysis and producing forecasting information and presenting findings to senior management.
  • Reconciliation, review and booking of monthly post-employment benefits
  • Employer tax reporting supporting the firm’s global compensation and benefits reporting
  • Preparation of compensation related disclosure notes for European subsidiaries
  • Oversight and control of compensation management recharges and overhead
  • Supporting other business units, providing relevant compensation data and analysis as required
  • Proactive involvement in developing and improving internal processes and controls
  • Maintaining effective relationships and communication with key stakeholders and other business areas including Human Resources, Payroll Operations, Tax, regional vendors and senior management.
  • Effective workload and time management, balancing project and BAU delivery

Initially this will be a very hands-on role to allow a period of familiarisation across global compensation reporting, internal systems and processes. Once established, you will have responsibility for reviewing the work of junior members of staff and providing valuable support to Senior Management.

You will be professionally qualified (CA/ACCA/CIMA) and have practical experience of working in a global reporting function or the audit function of a top Accounting firm. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and succeed in managing high volumes of data. Experience of managing or contributing to process improvement would be beneficial. Strong communication and inter-personal skills are essential as you will be required to communicate with a variety of contacts across the globe.
