Our client, is one of the country’s leading food production firms, with an enviable track record of success. As a result of internal promotions, they need to appoint two ambitious Quality Managers (one early, one back shift) to their team in Arbroath. Reporting to the Technical Manager, your role will be to ensure site compliance with quality standards and to deliver quality products and ensure that Technical and GMP standards meet customer codes of practice and legal requirements.
Specifically, you shall lead a small team in the provision of a robust quality management services to a busy production site, ensuring that the procedures are fit for purpose and exceed the firms required contracts. You shall also be expected to make improvements to the firms existing quality management system, which should result in efficiencies across the production lines. You shall be expected to raise any non compliance issues, and find resolutions to each (at a root cause level), and to carry out all internal audit processes as well as coordinating with any external audit parties.
It is expected that you shall have at least 3+ yrs’ experience in a Quality Leadership role in chilled food, hold a degree in a food related subject, have demonstrable experience of HACCP Level 3, Food Hygiene Level 3 and of creating and implementing CI initiatives.
