Lusona Consultancy are working with an innovative Supply Chain Partner to the Renewables Sector, who due to growth, are looking to appoint a Project Buyer to join their Procurement Team.

The Project Buyer will work closely with the Sales Team and provide procurement support for responses to all tender and quotation requests for new and existing customers.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Researching the market for appropriate Suppliers and contacting them for information
  • Contacting Suppliers to obtain pricing and lead time information
  • Analysing all cost data information to drive a competitive advantage
  • Maximising buying opportunities and ensuring best value is achieved
  • Updating all purchasing data within the ERP systems
  • Monitor and report on all procurement activity
  • Work closely with colleagues to achieve positive results for the company

Experience and knowledge required for the role:

  • Proven experience of working in a similar buying role and experience of purchasing multiple items
  • Experience of supporting Tender/Quotation requests and able to work methodically through tender/quotation request
  • Highly numerate and can analyse data to provide the best commercial return
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Suppliers
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Proficient in the use of Excel
  • Project management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects
