Professional Practice - Accounts Senior
Glasgow City Centre  
Salary up to £37K (DOE) + Flexible Working Arrangements

An exam finalist, qualified accountant or qualified by experience accountant required for this very progressive and successful, independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Advisors in Glasgow City Centre. Our client has a high staff retention rate and promotion within is at the forefront of their firm.

Due to the flat and fluid structure, you will report directly to Partners. You will be involved in managing a diverse portfolio of clients, where you will build strong trusted relationships. You will also act as a role model for junior members of the team, providing guidance and mentoring where necessary.

Joining a close-knit and commercial team, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing statutory financial statements
• Preparing ad-hoc monthly and quarterly management accounts
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Regular communication with clients to meet targets and deadlines, prioritising a high level of client service throughout.
• Identifying issues and process improvements, adopting a proactive approach
• Mentoring junior members of the team, acting as a role model, and supporting management with team goals

You will be a qualified, qualified by experience or an exam finalist (CA/ACCA/ACA) with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working within accountancy practice. Previous experience of Xero/QuickBooks/Iris is also extremely desirable. Likewise, strong interpersonal and client engagement skills are essential.
