Personal Tax Manager required for the Private Client & Tax team of this highly reputable Scottish law firm. The firm has grown significantly in recent years following a number of strategic mergers and investments and is now one of the largest law firms in Scotland. Throughout its successful expansion, their focus has remained the same, to provide the highest quality legal advice and service, when and where clients need it.

The Private Client & Tax team combines legal and tax expertise to ensure that clients never need to go anywhere else for advice. They are trusted advisers to individuals, families and trusts throughout Scotland. As the dedicated Tax Manager for the firm, you will look after the tax affairs of a range of personal tax clients, including those with complex tax issues. You will help clients navigate the complexities of tax legislation, identifying and advising on tax planning opportunities with particular emphasis on Income Tax and Capital Gains Tax. As well as consulting with clients, you will prepare and lodge tax returns for individuals and trusts, prepare tax papers and manage tax compliance and audits.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Personal / Private Client Tax practitioner with excellent knowledge of personal tax compliance for a range of clients'. Tax planning experience is advantageous but not essential as training is provided and external technical support is always on hand.  You will hold a relevant qualification such as ATT/CTA/ACCA/CA/STEP.  You will have strong analytical skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlines. You must be committed to building and sustaining strong relationships both with clients and staff across a multi-location team.

The firms' agile working practices and advanced technology mean that you can work from home indefinitely in this role, so you must be comfortable working independently although full support from the team is always there.

Salary up to £55,000 (DOE) + Benefits.  For further information contact Stuart Ringland on (01698) 440 337 or email
