The Inverness office of this leading firm of Chartered Accountants specialises in advising private clients with business and landed interests. Their clients are involved in most areas of the Highland economy and they provide a tailor-made service for all aspects of their lives - personal, family and business - for all phases of wealth generation and preservation, from start-up, to sale, to succession.

As Private Client Tax Manager, you will work closely with the Partners to provide a quality tax compliance and advisory product to practice clients. You will utilise your management and technical skills to both control and review compliance work whilst taking a more hands-on approach to a wide range of advisory/planning assignments for your own client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing personal, partnership, LLP, trust and corporate tax returns
  • Identify and advise on subsequent tax planning points for clients
  • Review advisory work of junior members of the team
  • Liaising with client partners, responding to requests timeously and providing information on planning opportunities with well researched documentation
  • Preparing comprehensive and technically accurate advisory reports for clients
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of necessary legislation and sharing your knowledge with the team
  • Regular correspondence with HMRC as necessary

You will be CTA and/or CA/ACCA qualified with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualifying experience in a professional tax environment. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and will have experience at review level. Good IT skills are imperative.
