A unique opportunity has arisen for a PA to join a leading Private Equity firm in Glasgow. This dynamic Financial Services firm is different from most – they are a small team who take pride in their approach and are passionate about what they do.

This is an exciting role for the right candidate who has aspirations to develop into being a PA or has gained some PA experience and is keen to develop further.  Either way, this is a great opportunity to be an integral part of a high profile business.   

The successful candidate will be well-spoken, trustworthy and have a strong attention to detail.  They will have a positive attitude and the ability to deal with a wide range of people in a warm and cheerful way. 

Supporting four Partners, this varied role is busy and fast paced.

Duties include:

  • Administrative and secretarial support for four partners. 
  • Arranging meetings on behalf of partners.
  • Co-ordinating and managing multiple diaries.
  • Arranging travel and accommodation (domestic and international) and preparing itineraries.
  • Acting as first point of contact for the office.
  • Preparing presentations and documents for meetings for internal and external attendees.
  • Handling all office communications via telephone, post and email, often replying on behalf of the partners. 
  • Ensuring partners are well prepared for all meetings.
  • Maintaining office filing systems.
  • Responsibility for petty cash and ordering goods for office.
  • Preparing expenses and credit card claims.
  • Any other ADHOC duties as requested by partners.

 

Desired skills and experience:

  • Excellent school/college grades.
  • Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office (training can be provided to develop).
  • Ability to prioritise varying workload effectively.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing work requirements and varying volumes of work.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • First class people and communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively communicate requests and instructions to both individuals and groups at all levels.
  • A team player who is calm under pressure.
  • Previous PA experience may be beneficial but not required.
  • Drivers licence desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, solve problems, manage and meet deadlines and maintain a high quality of work.
