Corporate Tax Senior Adviser required for the highly-successful, dedicated corporate tax team of this Big 4 firm of Chartered Accountants in Edinburgh.

The team provides high quality, trusted corporate tax services to a diverse range of clients across the globe, from Scotland’s largest businesses to multinational groups. Their services are designed to help companies achieve greater control and efficiency across tax and finance, addressing the entire record to report process including tax provisioning, audit, returns and related advisory work.

Core responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting with the successful and efficient delivery of tax services to a varied client portfolio across compliance, advisory and assurance
  • Managing successful delivery of tax projects, prioritising technical excellence and adopting a practical and commercially-minded approach
  • Building strong and sustainable client relationships, ensuring high levels of client service through regular, professional client liaison and managing expectations
  • Building effective internal relationships across the business, identifying opportunities for development
  • Proactively coaching and developing junior members of the team

You will be a newly-qualified Accountant or Tax Advisor (CA/ACA/ACCA/CTA) with relevant corporate tax experienced gained within a firm of professional advisors, or within industry. You will have a good understanding of UK corporation tax issues. Advisory experience is advantageous, as is experience in tax accounting and tax audit. Excellent oral and written communication skills are imperative as is the ability to build effective working relationships with current and potential clients;
