Market Intelligence Manager required for the Sales & Marketing team of this world leading provider of commercial and government product solutions.

Based in Renfrewshire and reporting to the Sales & Marketing Director, you will support the global business strategy, sales and daily operations activity and decision making through the gathering, analysis and presentation of quality market intelligence and customer insights.

This role is all about….

  • Collating, analysing and presenting internal data (sales, financial) and external data (market, competitive) to enable the business to make informed decisions on strategic direction, sales strategies, new product development / R&D, pricing, marketing and routes to market.
  • Sales and marketing analysis, collating data from various internal and external sources, historical and future
  • Customer, competitor and geographic markets intelligence gathering and dissemination at both macro and micro levels
  • Customer needs analysis, and owning and developing the customer feedback process
  • Creating concise, insightful routine and custom reports from data gathered
  • Leading on selection, effective use, customisation and management of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and other related tools required to support department activities.
  • Building lasting relationships internally and externally to gather intelligence
  • Working with the sales, marketing and bids team to support strategy development and the production of high quality customer literature.
  • Reporting to management on a regular basis (e.g. weekly, monthly) in an accurate and timely manner and working with key stakeholders to develop and improve reporting and putting in processes to improve their efficiency where possible

You will be Degree qualified in a relevant subject (e.g. economics, marketing, business) with experience in research of market / customer intelligence gained within the oil and gas or defence sector.  You will have good knowledge and experience of performing competitive intelligence gathering and analysis coupled with the ability to think strategically and analyse detail whilst considering the bigger picture.  Developed communication and presentation skills are imperative as is proven experience and proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM systems.   The role requires the ability to prioritise workloads and to respond positively in fast-paced and evolving environment.
