A new opportunity has become available for a Knowledge & Development Lawyer to support the Banking & Funds Division within this leading Scottish commercial law firm. There is flexibility as to where the role could be based which includes Glasgow, Edinburgh or Aberdeen and both full/part-time applicants will be considered. A minimum of 3 days/week or 21 hours/week is required.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all knowledge management aspects of banking law. The role will encompass all training needs, principally arranging and, where appropriate, leading training at trainee, junior assistant and full division level; ensuring that the lawyers are kept up to date with all relevant legal developments; undertaking bespoke research tasks for transactional and non-transactional matters and drafting and maintaining the precedents required by the division. The role will also involve some firm-wide training of the trainees as part of the PEAT 2 programme. As a member of the KDL team, you will also work with the other KDLs in the firm to ensure sharing of information as required by other divisions, as well as consistency of knowledge and excellence throughout the firm. 

Applicants will ideally have at least 4-5 years of relevant PQE gained within the Banking team at another large commercial law firm.
