Our client is a leading manufacturer, who as a result of some internal changes, need to appoint an ambitious and experienced IT Manager.

Reporting to the board your role shall be coordinate the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the business. You will lead a small team, who are responsible across the production and support spheres of the business, for any business analysis that leads to process improvement, and where possible specifying applications development (customisation and enhancements) to the existing IT landscape.

The role is wide and varied but some key tasks would include;

  • Liaison with business managers to understand their IT issues and requirements together and build effective relationships.
  • Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for current and new technology. Identify and resolution of gaps in business processes.
  • Development of solutions for the business functions.
  • Design and implement master data management solutions to ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Performing data cleansing, data audit and/or data validation as required. Recommending ways to strengthen data integrity and quality.
  • Oversee the deployment, development, monitoring, maintenance, upgrading and support of organisational IT systems.
  • Leverage existing solutions to ensure the business obtains maximum value from existing investments.
  • Work with the ERP system, associated databases (SQL) and reporting suites and provide support for the general infrastructure of the business incorporating the ERP system (Syspro 7), Security, Telephony, Wireless, SQL, W7-10, Office2007, Server 08/12, SAN Storage etc.
  • Ensure IT Operations projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality.

It is expected that you shall be a degree qualified IT professional, with a background in manufacturing/production environment. You shall also have had an element of strategic exposure within your roles, and have first hand practical experience of business continuity planning within a complex environment. You will be a proficient user of SYSPRO, other systems shall not be considered at this stage, and have lead a small IT team. First class communication skills are a pre-requisite.
