Our client is a leading FMCG business who are looking to recruit an ambitious HSE Advisor to their growing team. As the ideal candidate, you will be qualified as a minimum to IOSH but Ideally NEBOSH and be confident in delivering Health Safety & Environmental systems and policies across the manufacturing and distribution operation.


Reporting to the HSE Manager you will be expected to:

  • Manage the Risk Management process in line with the group systems including General Risk Assessments, Manual Handling / Ergonomics / Repetitive Task Assessment. Ensuring risks are controlled, preventative measures implemented and routine reviews done with Departmental Managers.
  • Coordinate and manage legal statutory requirements, recording and reporting any non-compliance and following up on any actions
  • Undertake inspections / Audits / Safety Walks as per annual plan, review controls to ensure they are suitable and define non-conformances and following up on actions as required.
  • Record and communicate all accidents or near-miss incidents and support as required in investigations
  • Manage or support the delivery of training events or workshops e.g. Work Place Data Sheet, Manual Handling, Tool Box Talks etc.
  • Support in defining and implementing the annual Health, Safety Environmental Deployment Plan and associated plans
  • Support Health, Safety Environmental Improvements
  • Conduct HSE inductions for new starters
  • Deputize for HSE Manager as required
  • Maintain a professional attitude towards Health, Safety Environmental issues

It is expected that you shall be degree qualified and either have completed or partway through your NEBOSH Diploma. You will have first-class communication skills, a demonstrable background in HSE ideally in an industrial environment, and some exposure to cultural change.  The successful candidate will grow their experience and develop their career within a world-class FMCG environment, supported by the HSE Manager and wider business team.
