Operational Finance Leader – Glasgow

Lusona is working exclusively with our Global client in Glasgow to source suitable applicants for the post of Operational Finance Leader. Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will be responsible for the business planning, budgeting and forecasting functions within the Group and the provision of MI (daily, weekly and monthly) including KPIs, to the business. The Finance Leader will provide day to day financial support to, and working in partnership with, the Operations Team and Project Managers and work across multiple geographies in a contracting environment.

The main remit will include:

  • Establishing and maintaining robust budgeting, financial planning and forecasting processes and reporting
  • Supporting the Project Accounting function and project financial control
  • Responsible for the establishment and ongoing provision and development of daily, weekly, monthly MI (including KPIs)
  • Responsible for financial analysis and the communication of performance of the business
  • Supporting the Project Managers and Operations Team on all project finance matters
  • Responsibility for the integrity of the data in the project ledgers and ensure financial control procedures are complied with
  • Providing standard analysis & commentary for Board Report as may from time to time be agreed
  • Ensuring that projects are economically efficient and maximising project profit
  • Working with the wider Finance team – to recommend, participate in Finance process, systems or tooling transformation activity
  • During the initial stages of the role, there will be the development of financial modelling and financial reports
  • Assisting with M&A activity and taking lead with the integration of acquired businesses  
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties defined by the Company to ensure business objectives/requirements are met

To be considered for this role it is essential that you are fully ICAS Qualified, with previous experience of working for an international business and you will ideally have worked in the Engineering, Manufacturing or Construction sector. You will be an experienced, rounded, finance leader with a lot of energy and enthusiasm and be able to demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities.
