Financial Services Tax Assistant Manager required for the growing advisory team of this Big 4 Chartered Accountants With the option to be based in Glasgow or Edinburgh, this is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist team offering comprehensive compliance and reporting services to some of the world's leading financial services businesses.

Working closely with Partners and Directors, you will be responsible for creating and nurturing trusted, long-term relationships with a range of prestigious client organisations, from FTSE and international listed companies to mutual businesses and new start-ups. Drawing upon your existing commercial awareness and professional expertise, you will provide the best possible solutions and outcomes for clients including investment and retail banks, asset management businesses, insurance groups and corporate finance advisers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting with the management and development of existing UK and international client relationships;
  • Supporting senior team members and other specialists in the communication, marketing and delivery of a range of advisory services to financial services clients. This could include capital and operational restructuring and refinancing, securitisations, transfer pricing, M&A projects and other ad hoc advisory projects;
  • Identifying innovative solutions for clients and pursuing new business development opportunities, utilising your networks and market knowledge for success.
  • Assisting and developing the technical skillset of junior members of the team;
  • Supporting the management of compliance and advisory projects, including client and statutory deadlines, billing requirements and effective delegation to junior members of the team

You will be a professionally qualified Tax Adviser (CTA/CA) with practice experience within a similar function. Good knowledge of financial services sector would be beneficial, but not essential. Instead you must demonstrate a keen willingness to develop your technical skills and knowledge in this field. You will be commercially minded with a highly collaborative approach and excellent communication skills.
