A new opportunity has arisen for a Financial Systems Support Administrator to join a busy services organisation, based just outside of Glasgow.

Working closely with group finance teams, you will support with the management of specialist financial and operational IT systems. You will act as a subject matter expert on these systems, contributing to the design, test and implementation of financial structures and champion process improvement.

  • Coaching and advising the business on the most efficient use of back office IT systems
  • Playing an active role on the ERP Governance board, providing regular updates on resilience and development of systems
  • Act as the key interface between the business and system providers, ensuring the business is fully up to date with all developments, changes and releases
  • Maintain financial accounting calendars, coordinating and supporting with month end close across finance colleagues
  • Maintain foreign currency tables and communicate to the business
  • Providing integral support and coordination for system upgrades
  • Regularly review, identify opportunities for, and implement system improvements and processes
  • User administration for multiple systems, providing structured allocation of duties and data access and/or control
  • Design, test and implement new hierarchies
  • Identify reported faults through system interrogation and provide solution where possible, escalating when required
  • Daily monitoring of interfaces, scheduled requests, workflows and system capacity reports to ensure system integrity
  • Support macro enabled spreadsheets
  • Ad hoc system support, user training and training material creation

You will be an experienced systems administrator or support analyst with responsibility for multiple financial systems, including ERP systems. You will have excellent technical abilities in Microsoft Office and experience of delivering within a customer-focused environment in a responsive and service minded approach. An understanding of general ledger and financial processes would be highly advantageous. Overall, you will be a self-motivated individual with strong communication skills and demonstrate a commitment to continually improving processes.
