A fantastic opportunity exists within the Finance function of this Glasgow based Bank to join as FP&A Stress Testing Manager. This is a newly created role to manage the overall delivery plan for the bank’s participation in the annual Bank of England (BoE) concurrent stress test exercise.

The role will require of you to build strong relationships with a large number of internal stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Treasury and business areas.  You will also need to be highly motivated to oversee delivery of all aspects of the stress test cycle to critical milestones and timescales.

This role is all about…

  • Contributing to the overall successful delivery of the bank’s participation in the BoE concurrent stress testing cycle
  • Owning and coordinating the delivery plan, leading delivery of defined aspects of the annual BoE stress testing exercise
  • Planning and managing the effective execution of the full end-to-end ACS stress test (and other ad hoc test including BES), co-ordinating all aspects of the delivery plan
  • Working with Finance, Risk, Treasury, Data and Business Areas as part of successful and coherent delivery of stress testing requirements
  • Ensuring appropriate controls and quality assurance exists to deliver accurate and complete outputs to the regulator
  • Working with Finance, Risk and Treasury colleagues to coordinate the population of projections templates and ensuring complete and accurate outputs
  • Developing and maintaining relevant processes and controls to effectively manage operational risks within the business processes
  • Establishing a robust and well managed control environment supporting stress testing
  • Ensuring integration of activities with Financial Planning, Capital Management and ICAAP process
  • Overseeing the team in the delivery of the concurrent stress test plan

Your background…

  • Extensive experience of leading FP&A or regulatory reporting team within Financial Services 
  • Qualified accountant (ICAS, ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification/practical experience)
  • A successful track record of planning and managing complex end-to-end reporting processes with a large number of internal stakeholders
  • Demonstrable experience of leading multi-disciplined teams, ability to drive delivery to time critical milestones and lead end-to-end processes to success
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement to end-to-end business processes and controls
  • Experienced managing relationships with key internal stakeholder, external partners and 3rd parties
  • Experience of aspects of the Bank of England stress testing framework, ICAAP process (or relevant equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
