Lusona Financial Services are working with a prestigious brand name who are looking for an experienced financial planner to join their business in Edinburgh. The firm retains a regional practice feel despite being part of a larger organisation, which gives an adult working environment whilst safeguarding against the risk of consolidation.
For this position you will work remotely servicing a client base you will inherit, in and around Edinburgh so there is no need to bring clients. You will not be left isolated rather you will have a team working around 90 minutes from you who you will meet with monthly, and longer term as the expansion continues there will be a team of advisers built in Scotland. This growth will in turn offer career advancement to people interested in management, and for those who prefer pure advice you will have full control of the clients you take on.
Another benefit is that the business has excellent levels of paraplanning and sales support to allow you to focus on client facing time, rather than getting bogged down in research, report writing and general administration.
They offer expertise in all areas of private client advice but in the main they offer financial planning and wealth management services to HNW individuals. You must have good knowledge in a broad range of areas including investment, pension and protection, and ideally have exposure to more complex areas such as inheritance tax planning, cashflow modelling and pre/post retirement. It is essential that you have experience working as an IFA, restricted financial consultant, paraplanner, wealth manager, or in a similar capacity.
They have budgeted a salary for someone less experienced of around £40,000 to £45,000, but will comfortably look at salaries of up to £75,000 for experienced individuals. There is also a good bonus structure in place giving advisers credit for retention or business and quality of work, plus excellent big company benefits.
