Finance Business Partner - North Lanarkshire 

Salary up to £50k plus bonus and an excellent benefits package 

Lusona is working exclusively with our client in the service sector to source suitable applicants for the post of Finance Business Partner. The client is an outsourced customer service organisation and they offer multi-channel customer contact solutions across traditional, digital & social channels.

The role is based at their HQ in North Lanarkshire and the main purpose of the role is to partner their Senior Operations Team, Business Unit Directors and other key stakeholders across the business.

This is a wide-ranging, forward-looking role, in a fast-paced environment. The primary objective of which is to use financial data to provide insightful analysis to support key business decisions, as well as constructively challenging business performance and making recommendations to key stakeholders.

The main duties will include:

  • Analysis of performance across all aspects of the business and in varying levels of detail, dependent on the audience
  • Preparation and interpretation of financial analysis and delivering insight that links financial reports to business strategies, as well as improving operational / financial performance of campaigns
  • Working collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop areas of business improvement
  • Partnering with key business stakeholders to produce both short and longer-term budgets and forecasts
  • Oversight of monthly payroll, including review process & managing the payroll/finance relationship
  • Overseeing and control of the client invoicing process
  • Weekly presentation of Daily Profit Review & managing the maintenance of this reporting
  • Manage the month end process including balance sheet reconciliations, monthly & quarterly VAT returns, monthly overhead reviews with budget holders, regular optimisation analysis and post reporting reviews with operations managers and other key stakeholders
  • Play a significant role in the continual improvement mentality within the finance function
  • Problem solving, both identifying and taking on end to end resolution of problems and deliver the information in an audience appropriate format
  • This role will have one direct report which will require oversight and review of work undertaken, as well as coaching and development therefore managerial experience would be preferable

The ideal candidate for this role will be fully qualified, ACCA, CIMA or ICAS and have previous experience of business partnering. It is essential that applicants have advanced Excel skills and excellent communication skills to develop relationships with key stakeholders.
