Finance Business Partner – Manufacturing Industry

Salary up to £45k plus bonus and pension


Lusona is working exclusively with a Manufacturing organisation in Glasgow to source suitable applicants for the post of Finance Business Partner. This is a new role, and the successful applicant will work with the finance and operations teams to develop the finance business partnering function and provide management information to support the senior management team with decision making.

The main responsibilities will include: -

  • Presenting monthly financial reports and analysis to senior management and provide insightful information and expectations to aid long-term and short-term decision making
  • Preparing and reviewing accounting entries, evaluating entries for completeness and accuracy
  • Performing variance analysis including month / quarter / year fluctuations
  • Completing special projects as requested
  • Preparing accurate budgets, forecasts and business plans and work directly with senior management team in formalising financial information
  • Tracking the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
  • Seeking out methods for minimising financial risk to the company
  • Establishing and maintaining financial policies and procedures for the company
  • Continually reviewing internal company policies, controls and processes to improve and support evolving business requirements
  • Providing analysis and insight that links financial reports to business strategies
  • Conducting monthly review meetings with budget holders and act as a point of contact to support budget holders with commercial business, capital and investment proposals
  • Challenging current ways of working, driving efficiencies and cost saving wherever possible
  • Working with the business to ensure financial performance is understood and the correct action is taken
  • Supporting projects with financial analysis and control to ensure business cases are fit for purpose together with post implementation reviews

Applicants must have experience of commercial accounting in a Manufacturing organisation and be able to demonstrate a track record in developing processes. First class communication skills are essential for this role as the successful candidate will have to work with many key internal and external stakeholders. An accountancy qualification is preferred, however not essential.
