Our global client is a manufacturer of fast moving consumable goods and they are looking to appoint an Account Manager to be responsible for their client based in the Middle East.

This is a varied role and the Account Manager will be responsible for managing customer relationships, proactively develop customer accounts and manage all customers orders from concept to export.

The Account Manager will be based on site, but will be expected to travel occasionally to meet with Customers in the Middle East.

Key responsibilities of the role will include;

  • Maintain and Develop relationships with Key Customers
  • Proactively identifying potential development areas within Key Customers, developing new products and introducing new products
  • Manage all customers orders throughout the process, from concept, manufacturing and export.  Regular liaison with colleagues in Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Logistics for regular updates on the status of customer orders to ensure OTD and service
  • Support the team of Export Administrators and support with export paperwork when required as eg LOC, DGNs etc
  • Support, project manage and facilitate New Product Launches specific to the export market, to include liaising with technical, marketing and logistics functions
  • Negotiate and develop Commercial Terms with Key Customers to provide stable contract opportunities
  • Attend trade shows and visit relevant events to ensure that a high level market intelligence and research on customers, markets and products is maintained

Experience and knowledge required for the role;

  • Experience of working within an Account Management/Internal Sales role within a manufacturing organisation – FMCG would be highly advantageous
  • Experience of dealing with exports and the relevant legislation/paperwork that is requires
  • Excellent people skills and able to build and maintain strategic relationships with Key Customers
  • Be self-motived and proactive to develop business opportunities
  • Experience of working with clients in the Middle East would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent communicator with strong influencing / negotiating skills both internally and externally
  • Experienced international traveller and willing to travel regularly as required.
