A new opening for an Energy Projects Solicitor to join an international law firm based in Glasgow. This would be suitable for a 2019 newly qualified solicitor or those with up to 3 years of relevant experience in energy projects; infrastructure projects; construction or public procurement.
This is a great opportunity to work as part of an experienced and friendly team advising clients on all types of energy projects including onshore and offshore wind; district heating; energy from waste; combined heat and power projects as well as complex infrastructure projects in the transport (road, rail, shipping and aviation); housing; education; health and waste sectors.
You will be based in Glasgow but will work on projects throughout the UK and with an international dimension.
The Energy and Projects Team acts for many of the largest developers, funders and contractors in the market as well as public sector bodies throughout the UK and beyond. The transaction based work is client facing; varied; fast-paced; and challenging.
The role involves working as part of a multi-disciplinary team with other groups throughout the firm and providing first class professional service for their clients in the energy and infrastructure sectors. You will draft and negotiate a wide variety of documents and organise and attend completion meetings across the UK and overseas.
This firm has a global footprint and lawyers at all levels are given the opportunity to build a firm network through attending learning and development courses in other jurisdictions with colleagues in other offices.
