A new role has become available for an Associate to join this leading Energy and Infrastructure Practice Group, based in Edinburgh within a global law firm.

The firm has one of the largest energy practices in the world and is consistently ranked as Tier 1 for Energy since records began.

The team has a vast amount of experience in advising both the traditional power and oil & gas sectors as well as renewable energy. They are at the forefront of the renewables and energy efficiency revolution working with developers, funders, multi-lateral agencies, contractors and governments to provide innovative advice and insight to clients and helping equip businesses with effective solutions across the energy sector, from transactional and regulatory advice to political guidance and dispute resolution.

The Infrastructure practice is one of the largest and most experienced of any international law firm. It combines a deep and current legal expertise with sophisticated marketplace knowledge and industry expertise. They regularly act for project companies, developers, banks, investors, multilateral agencies, contractors, governments and other public sector bodies. They are active in all infrastructure sectors across the globe, and regularly act on rail, airports, health, education, roads, bridges and tunnels, prisons, public buildings, housing, water, wastewater, waste, defence and information technology projects.

The work will primarily focus on the commercial aspects of primary and secondary projects but will also involve providing elements of corporate, financial services, banking, construction, commercial, regulatory and general transactional advice. The role will also provide outstanding experience in drafting and negotiating project/finance documentation.

Applicants will ideally have between 0-4 years of relevant experience.
