Lusona’s client, a digital market-leader in the Energy and Utilities sector, is looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join their specialist team in Livingston. This is a rare opportunity to join a progressive team on a permanent basis to work with their highly advanced software solutions.

As DevOps Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the product test automation systems and moving towards Infrastructure as code.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Debugging problems with product upgrades that break the automation system
  • Maintaining automation systems and tooling
  • Extending automation test framework
  • Keeping up to date with latest automation technologies
  • Modernization of existing processes and tooling
  • Managing infrastructure as Code Requirements
  • Hands-on experience of maintaining Jenkins and working with Linux servers
  • Can work independently and good problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and proactive approach

Desired Skills

  • Coding in Perl or JavaScript
  • Working knowledge of Oracle
  • Experience with an industry standard automation tool (e.g. UFT, SoapUI, Selenium)
  • Working knowledge of Jenkins 2
  • Good C# coding skills
  • Working knowledge of modern DevOps concepts or technologies like Infrastructure as Code, Containerization, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc

You will have a Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science or STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths) with strong professional experience in a DevOps or Software Engineering role. Practical experience of Linux Operating systems is essential, as is a good working knowledge of Oracle.
