Lusona have been instructed by our client, a Big 4 firm to recruit an experienced Corporate Tax Consultant to join the Business Tax Practice in any of their Edinburgh, Glasgow or Aberdeen offices.

The Business Tax practice delivers comprehensive and innovative tax solutions to clients worldwide.  Combining a collaborative and practical approach, they ensure that their service delivery is consistent in all jurisdictions, helping businesses to meet their worldwide tax and statutory responsibilities robustly and efficiently, while identifying opportunities that align with the company's risk profile.

The team have a market leading reputation, bringing together a unique blend of consulting, technology, tax technical and tax reporting experience to help businesses to meet the challenges of multi-jurisdictional tax operations, including compliance, reporting, tax technology and tax risk management.

Role responsibilities:

  • Acting as the main contact for your client portfolio, building deep trusted client relationships and being responsible for quality , delivery and all aspects of client service on the engagement
  • Working with offshore and nearshore teams to plan and deliver the entire corporate tax compliance and /or reporting process
  • Developing an understanding of clients tax data and technologies, and building experience of the tax management consulting advisory services, to identify and help deliver improvements to clients tax compliance and reporting processes, technologies and governance
  • Using your knowledge of your clients' businesses to help bring tax advisory solutions, take a leading role in delivering these advisory projects
  • Mentoring more junior members of the team, playing an active role in their development
  • Work across a range of industries including FS, Consumer Business, Energy & Resources, Technology, Media and Telecommunications

Skills required:

  • Desire to develop your career, taking on additional and varied work
  • Good tax technical knowledge
  • CA/CTA/ITP/ACCA qualified or equivalent
