An exceptional opportunity to join the rapidly expanding Corporate Tax team of this mid-tier firm of Chartered Accountants & Business Advisors in Edinburgh.

Following a record turnover and profit year for the corporate tax team, the leadership team are looking to augment this success by hiring a conscientious and self-motivated Accountant or Tax Advisor to deliver on wide ranging tax consultancy projects as well as manage a portfolio of tax compliance clients. You will gain experience of working with wide ranging entrepreneurial SME’s through to large groups, including well-known brands.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Proactive management of your own portfolio of clients ensuring relationships are maintained and developed
  • Providing tax advisory services on all tax matters and supporting with specialist tax projects including R&D, Capital Allowances, Transactions and re-organisations
  • Managing the tax compliance process for your clients ensuring deadlines are met
  • Attending client meetings
  • Maintaining and building on your existing knowledge of business and economic issues or changes that could potentially affect your clients
  • Supervising and assisting in the development of junior members of the team
  • Assisting with business development activities

You will be a qualified Accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA) and/or Tax Advisor (CTA, ITP) (or finalist) with a minimum of 3 years’ experience gained within a corporate tax environment. Corporate tax advisory planning experience is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided. You will, however, demonstrate a strong willingness to develop and strengthen your advisory skills in a flexible, supportive working environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to create and maintain trusted working relationships with clients are essential.
