An ambitious and self-motivated Tax Advisor sought for the UK & EMEA tax group of this Glasgow based large corporate.

Joining a dedicated tax team, you will be responsible for the corporate tax processes and requirements for a number of UK and overseas entities across the EMEA region. You will also have additional involvement in cross-business matters, processes and initiatives. This opportunity would suit a process-driven individual who can thrive in a challenging and fast-paced role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of corporate income tax returns, tax payment calculations and disclosures in financial statements
  • Preparing quarterly tax rate reporting figures and year end reporting process for both US GAAP and UK GAAP/European GAAP individual company reporting
  • Preparing UK tax returns and reviewing EMEA tax returns, as prepared by other advisors
  • Full corporate income tax process including ixbrl requirements and e-filing with the use of Alphatax
  • US Federal Annual Tax Reporting
  • Supporting with other tax projects and processes, suggesting improvements in order to increase efficiency where possible

You will be a newly (or nearly) qualified Tax or Accounting Professional (CA/CTA/ATT/ACCA) with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working in UK corporation tax within practice or wider industry. Knowledge of UK tax issues and compliance is essential, as is practical experience of managing client portfolio and tax processes to strict deadlines. Knowledge of Alphatax software is desirable, as is experience of US GAAP and the US tax system. Excellent communication and team-working skills are a must.
