Corporate Insolvency Manager required for our client, a mid-tier firm of Insolvency Practitioners & Business Advisors. 

Based in Glasgow and working closely with Senior Management, this role is all about...

  • Management of restructuring and formal insolvency engagements, and executing them in compliance with firm policies and statutory requirements.
  • Supervision of the team, including delegation of work to junior staff, assisting with their queries and providing guidance, motivation and training to assist them in their development.
  • Identifying and discussing with the Senior Manager/Directors any issues and obstacles as they arise, suggesting solutions to overcome and progress matters;
  • Assuming responsibility for, build and maintain key stakeholder relations and liaise with clients, clients’ employees, agents and solicitors as necessary;
  • Promoting the business and services by attending marketing events and seminars and presentations by other professionals and clients;

About you...

  • Track record within a recognised Restructuring team and have been an assistant manager for a minimum of 2-3 years or recently promoted to manager
  • Experience of leading both restructuring advisory reviews and formal corporate insolvencies
  • Professional accountancy (CA, ACA, ACCA) or insolvency (CPI) qualification

Skills & Attributes:

  • A high level of commercial acumen, and an awareness of the key drivers of corporate failure or underperformance
  • Proficient in detailed financial and commercial analysis and able to identify potential areas of sensitivity
  • Able to identify key issues on assignments and suggest workable solutions
  • Experienced in report writing and presenting findings clearly in reports and other deliverables to clients
  • Ability to share technical and other knowledge with the team drawing on previous experience
  • Good project management skills, with the ability to manage more than one assignment at a time and yet still demonstrate quality and consistency of performance in every task  
  • Strong appreciation of risk management
  • Experience of supervising/managing junior team members
  • Experience of business development and building your network of contacts
