A rare and exciting opportunity for a Corporate Finance Executive to join the specialist M&A team of this Big 4 firm of Chartered Accountants in Edinburgh.

Working on high-profile assignments, the team provides a comprehensive M&A service, advising large corporates, private equity houses, entrepreneurial businesses and other clients on acquisitions, divestments, buy-outs and capital raisings. The Corporate Finance Executive will work on a diverse range of projects across both corporate and private equity transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising on a range of buy-side and sell-side transactions as part of a specialist team.
  • Assisting with the day-to-day management of transactions: preparation of information memoranda; management presentations; valuation analysis; and being responsible for the preparing relevant information and client communications.
  • Industry research for deal origination, as well as transaction analysis.
  • Valuation and financial modelling, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) and Leverage Buyout (LBO) analysis.
  • Supporting ad hoc marketing and business development opportunities.
  • Working effectively in diverse teams in a highly commercial and client-focused environment.
  • Playing an instrumental part in the development and implementation of highly innovative and tailored M&A strategies per transaction.

Ideally you will be professional qualified (CA/ACA/CFA) with relevant M&A experience; or a demonstrable interest in moving into a career in M&A. You will have excellent numerical abilities with keen attention to detail and an ability to interpret large volumes of data at pace. Client and team focus is key, as are strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build and nurture strong working relationships. Project management, organisational and time management skills are essential.
