An exceptional new opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Finance Analyst to join the highly-regarded Corporate Finance team of this firm of Chartered Accountants and Advisors. With the option to be based in Glasgow or Edinburgh, this role offers strong career progression opportunities and direct involvement with a range of M&A, equity and other advisory transactions.

Joining a growing team, you will work closely with a varied client base of entrepreneurs, C-suite boards, investors and shareholders across a range of sectors. You will be involved with some interesting, high-profile transactions from deal initiation through to completion and have repeated interaction with leaders of high-growth entrepreneurial businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct involvement with a variety of transactions that will include company disposals, acquisitions, debt/equity fundraising and management buy-outs.
  • Preparation of complex forecast models, reviewing and analysing detailed financial data from a range of sources
  • Participation in meetings with Partners and Senior Management, providing detailed analysis and recommendations to support the advice being given
  • Carrying out detailed research and preparing documentation to support potential transactions and pitches for new client opportunities.
  • Drafting supporting truncation materials, including investment memoranda, pitch documents and valuation reports.
  • Working closely with colleagues in Corporate Finance and the wider firm to establish and build your professional profile.

You will be newly or nearly qualified (CA/ACCA/ACA) with strong ambition to grow a successful corporate finance career.  You must have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in Corporate Finance or Audit gained within a Top Accountancy firm. Strong financial and analytical skills are essential, as is a keen interest in developing financial modelling expertise. You must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and demonstrable ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
