Lusona is working with a rapidly expanding organisation in the renewable energy sector to source suitable applicants for the post of Commercial Project Accountant. The company has recently been acquired by a PE firm, and they are looking to diversify by expanding their client base and service offerings across the globe.

This is a new role and the successful candidate will join their Finance team based in Glasgow City Centre.  

Reporting to the Business Planning Controller, the successful candidate will work in partnership with the Project Managers and Operations teams to provide meaningful financial and management information to monitor business performance.

    The key duties will include:

  • Ensuring the integrity of the data in the project ledgers and ensure financial control procedures are complied with
  • Assisting in the on-going development of management information
  • Responsible for compiling the annual budgets for designated projects with the assistance of the Project Managers
  • Providing detailed project budgets in advance of the start of all the budgets
  • Compiling updated weekly costing and sales reports showing actuals to date and forecasts to the end of project cycles
  • Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate information for management accounts
  • Provide standard analysis & commentary for Board Report as may from time to time be agreed
  • Ensuring that projects are economically efficient and maximising project profit
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties defined by the Company to ensure business objectives/requirements are met


    Applicants must hold a professional Accountancy Qualification and have previous experience of commercial or project accounting in a contracting business.
