A rare opportunity for a Cloud Accounting Adviser has arisen with a top independent firm of Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors. Based in Glasgow, you will act as subject matter expert for the firm’s Cloud-based accounting packages on behalf of their SME client portfolio.

Supporting a growing team of business services advisors, you will be responsible for providing systems advice to clients and supporting them with their financial and accounting needs as a trusted advisor. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clients with comprehensive systems advice – including demonstrations, conversion, implementation, set-up and training sessions pertaining to cloud accounting software
  • Preparing and reviewing VAT returns within cloud-based software
  • Preparing and reviewing management accounts with Xero and related reporting tools
  • Regularly meeting and corresponding with clients, prioritising a high-level of client service at all times
  • Mentoring junior members of the team, suggesting process improvements and ensuring processes are being followed
  • Providing internal training on Xero and cloud-based software
  • Attending relevant networking events representing the firm and communicating the cloud solutions offering to potential new clients

You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience gained in either a small firm of Chartered Accountants or alternatively the Business Services/Advisory team of a mid-tier CA practice. You must have strong Xero experience and other cloud-based accounting packages including Quickbooks and Sage; an awareness of the app marketplace and add-ons would also be highly advantageous. Overall, you must have excellent client engagement skills and the ability to explain complex systems and accounting processes in a clear, understandable manner.
