In the last three years, our client has grown by over 40% and they continue to grow at pace, both organically and through acquisition. They now operate across six locations in the UK, with their R&D Team being based in Lanarkshire.

They have one of the most sophisticated and customer focused technology platforms available in their sector and continue to invest significantly in its development.  As they embark on the next stage of their growth, they now seek to appoint a CTO to join their Executive team.

Reporting to the CEO, you will be a key member of the leadership team helping shape and guide the future growth and development of their enterprise class platform.  Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing technology leadership to the team as they commercialise their Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform to medium and large enterprises. You will be fully immersed in the latest cloud and web technologies to ensure they take advantage of proven, best-in-breed technology to efficiently build their platform and rapidly scale their business.
  • You will oversee the strategic direction, design, enhancement, development and implementation of their platform and supporting operations, with a particular focus on project delivery, scalability, resilience and security.
  • Being responsible for growing and maintaining the Company’s Intellectual Property portfolio, including patents and trademarks, along with the software codebase.
  • Playing a critical role to help shape and guide the future growth and development of the Company and help them be more effective in identifying and realising business initiatives from a technology perspective.

You will be an accomplished CTO or senior Systems Architect with experience within a platform technology business that has experienced significant growth.  You will be able to demonstrate competence and confidence to make the key technology and architecture decisions which sets us them up for success. You will be able to demonstrate a detailed understanding of agile software development cycle and have experience of leading teams that develop large scale systems utilising Cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
