Our client is expanding their business and they have created a new opportunity for a Category Lead.
Reporting into the Head of Procurement, the Category Lead will be responsible for a number of Categories including FM/Fleet/Fuel/Projects/Strategic Services and will be responsible for delivering tenders within these categories. They will liaise closely with their Internal Stakeholders within the different locations, to understand their requirements and ensure that each contract award/supplier can meet their individual requirements.
The Category Team will be a team of two – Category Lead and Category Buyer and the team will be responsible for identifying key spend areas and delivering cost savings. They will be responsible for the end to end delivery of tenders and will be responsible for ongoing contract management and monitoring supplier performance through scorecards etc. The Category Lead will be responsible for identifying areas of improvement and delivering improvements through processes and procedures.
