Our client is a high-growth technology driven company which has grown by over 40% in the past three years’. They have one of the most sophisticated and customer focused technology platforms available in their sector and continue to invest significantly in its development. They are continuing to grow at pace and currently seek a Business Analyst to be based at their Lanarkshire offices.

As Business Analyst, you will solicit, understand and document the customers business requirements, processes and workflows, developing both written and visual depictions of the requirements and process flows.  You will work with the Software Development team to create functional specifications that meet those requirements, serving as an SME to the team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering and interpreting requirements from the Customer
  • Delivering precise functional specifications to include functional hierarchy, workflow rules, business rules and interface design and definitions, outstanding issues, data analysis and data mapping to customers and the development team
  • Business processing modelling to capture and communicate and the current and future state of the process to be improved
  • Participating in the solution design process
  • Building and documenting specifications for development
  • Working with the development team and other key stakeholders to verify and test the solution, ensuring testing covers all aspects of the business specification
  • Working with the customer to demonstrate the solution to ensure all relevant customer needs are met
  • Supporting the development of training material for the solution and support the delivery of customer training

You will be an experienced Technical Business Analyst with competence to develop functional specifications and technical requirements in a software development environment.  You will have demonstrable ability to understand and represent the needs of the customer. Previous relevant experience in supply chain, e-commerce, logistics, CRM, order management systems or ERP is advantageous but not essential.
