A newly-created opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a friendly, close-knit Accountancy practice in the heart of Glasgow. This role has arisen following the consistent growth and success of the firm's established client portfolio.
Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining client records for a varied allocation of clients, ensuring the provision of high-quality bookkeeping services and standards. You will be process-driven and well-versed in full bookkeeping tasks (e.g. sales & purchase invoices and ledgers, bank reconciliations, VAT, year-end returns, etc.) You will make regular use of cloud accounting systems in supporting your clients with requirements of Making Tax Digital.
The firm are looking for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys regular contact with clients and is confident when dealing with accounts queries. Ideally you will have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working as a bookkeeper/accounts assistant within an accountancy practice or outsourced bookkeeping firm. Experience of Sage, Xero and/or Quickbooks or other cloud-accounting systems would be highly advantageous. Excellent communication skills, time management skills and a flexible approach to support with ad hoc tasks are essential.
