Audit Senior required for the expanding Audit practice of this mid-tier firm of Chartered Accountants & Business Advisors. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience with a new range of interesting clients within a forward-thinking firm.

Based in Glasgow and reporting to Managers and Audit Partners, you will have the opportunity audit clients (up to £120m turnover) across a range of sectors including construction, FMCG, retail, manufacturing, charities and housing associations. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the senior management team to deliver audit and accounting services;
  • Responsible for the planning implementation and completion of a variety of audit clients and will be required to support other members of the audit team
  • Visiting client sites to oversee the Audit including supporting junior team members and being responsible for complex file areas
  • Communicate effectively with both junior members of the team and management, ensuring management receive appropriate information relevant to the audit
  • Plan and complete audit assignments and ensure that all audits have the appropriate and sufficient documentation to support the opinion and to document all conclusions reached
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements from client data
  • Assist with the development of more junior members within the team and ensure workload on audit is evenly distributed where appropriate to junior members of the team
  • Manage and develop client relationships
  • Complete all administration in a timely manner (including timesheets and fees) and to a high standard
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external regulatory requirements

You will be a nearly or newly qualified CA / ACCA / ACA with experience being the senior on audit engagements within a firm of accountants.  You will be able to demonstrate strong technical skills coupled with developed communication, team working and interpersonal skiills.  You will be self-motivated with a desire to develop your experience and skills.  Our client offers a professional, friendly and supportive working environment with excellent opportunities for career development
