Audit Senior required for this well-respected firm of Chartered Accountants and Advisers in Edinburgh as a result of sustained growth and client wins. This opportunity would suit an commercially-minded candidate wishing to move into an Audit Senior role, or an experienced Audit Senior looking for a new challenge. 

Joining an established team of auditors at all levels and a dynamic client base, this role will offer the chance to work with clients in a wide range of sectors, including owner managed businesses, charities, housing associations, property groups, pension schemes, technology sector and financial services. 

 The main duties of the role will include:

  • Audit responsibilities for an extremely varied portfolio of clients

  • Supervision of audit teams (1-3 juniors) with responsibility for overseeing and reviewing their work, providing guidance and assistance where required

  • Regular liaison and communication with Partners and senior management

  • Assisting with specialist in-house training sessions

  • Building and maintaining successful client relationships

  • Supporting management with ad hoc project work

  • Working to tight deadlines and agreed budgets

You will be a qualified or part-qualified auditor (CA/ACCA/ACA) with recent audit experience gained within professional practice. Comprehensive knowledge of accounts preparation is essential, as are strong communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines. You will demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and be a successful team-player. IT skills including experience of Microsoft Office packages, CCH Audit Automation and SAGE would be beneficial. Driver with access to own car would be preferred.
