Lusona have been instructed by our client, an independent mid-tier CA firm in Stirling, to recruit an Audit Senior for their expanding Scottish Audit practice.  The team' have won significant audit clients in 2017 resulting in new opportunities for further expansion and new development opportunities for the team.

Reporting to the Audit Director you will be responsible for the planning, implementation and completion of a variety of audit clients including plc's, PE backed corporates, OMB's and non-for-profit organisations. The key duties and responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Completion of audit fieldwork/planned substantive and analytical audit procedures, normally on site at clients premises
  • Responsible for the planning and completion of audits assignments
  • Ensure audit files have appropriate and sufficient documentation on each section worked on to support the opinion and documenting all conclusions
  • Responsible for the planning, execution and finalisation of the audit assignment for Partner/Manager review
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements from client data
  • Highlight high level risk areas or matters of concern to the Partner/Manager 
  • Assist with the development of more junior members within the team
  • Manage and develop client relationships
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external regulatory requirements
  • Complete all administration in a timely manner (including timesheets and fees) and to a high standard

You will be a qualified Accountant or be due to qualify as a CA/ACCA/ACA in 2018. You will have previous experience of being the Senior on large group audit engagements with the ability to demonstrate sound technical accounting and assurance skills. You will have good working knowledge of IFRS. Developed communication and interpersonal skills are imperative coupled with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks.
