This mid-tier CA practice with an excellent reputation are now seeking to recruit an Audit Portfolio Manager for their Fife office. 

As Portfolio Manager you will oversee wide ranging audit engagements on an extensive range of clients from small family-owned limited companies to sizeable limited companies (up to £30m in turnover), Charities and Healthcare. You will have the opportunity to build and maintain lasting relationships with key clients and will be instrumental in supporting the growth of the business.

Role responsibilities:

  • Acting in an advisory capacity to assist Audit team and partners with technical queries, in relation to audit and complex accounting matters
  • Working with a key client portfolio and manage Audits throughout year to include file reviews on site
  • Driving the client journey through continuous improvement methodology
  • Undertaking file reviews and other review work as necessary to ensure the accuracy of completed work and assignments being provided to client
  • Arranging the finalisation of annual and periodic financial statements in consultation with assignment partner
  • Carrying out ad-hoc tasks e.g. Share valuation, financial projections, financial system reviews
  • Providing support and guidance to team in technical matters, including identifying training/coaching requirements and facilitating training sessions.
  • Creating and implementing training guides and reviewing procedures to ensure all allocated work meets the agreed quality standard.
  • Preparing technical guidance notes for the team and the partners to ensure the firm is compliant with current Accounting and Auditing Standards and other legislation.
  • Supporting with planning and implementation of change within the department

You will be a qualified Accountant (ACCA/ICAS/ACA) with strong technical knowledge of FRS102, Auditing Standards and charity legislation. Client relationship management skills are essential, preferably gained within an accountancy practice. You will have experience of coaching and mentoring junior members of the team and can demonstrate excellent time-management skills.
