This mid-tier CA practice with an enviable reputation are now seeking to recruit an Audit Manager for their Edinburgh office. 

With a strong team of auditors at all levels and a dynamic client base, this role will offer the chance to work with clients in a wide range of sectors including corporate SME’s, property groups, professional partnerships, pensions, charities and RSL’s. As Manager, you will have responsibility for planning (budget, staffing), executing and finalising audit projects within tight deadlines; as well as managing successful client relationships and oversight of team performance and training responsibilities. You will also be responsible for supporting the team's technical strategy and approach in relation to the use of data analytics and other audit software.

Key requirements:

  • Establishing close working relationships with clients to fully understand their needs and meet expectations
  • Experience of CCH Audit Automation
  • Track record of assignment delivery to budget
  • Detailed review of audit working papers as prepared by the audit team
  • Coaching junior members of staff to ensure appropriate understanding of client business and issues
  • Experience of clearing assignments straight to Partner
  • Discussing business issues and risks with clients on each assignment, offering service solutions
  • Delegating across the team effectively and monitoring the progress
  • Management of fees and portfolio WIP issues

You will be a qualified Accountant (CA / ACCA) with previous experience of supervising/managing junior staff in a firm of Accountants. This role would suit an experienced auditor wishing to move into a Management position, or an experienced Manager looking for a new challenge. Developed interpersonal and client relationship management skills are imperative for this role, as are strong time management skills and the ability to demonstrate initiative.
